The “Made in Amport” stall sells any goods that fall within this broad umbrella term. Food items of any sort – cakes, pasties, quiches, pies, pâtés, jams, marmalades, bread, bottled fruits always sell well. Craft items, sewing, and knitted goods, flowers and plants also find ready buyers. We need contributions to sell – please let us have something of your own speciality! We will be setting up the stall during the Saturday morning and will be ready to receive goods for sale from late morning until early afternoon. If you have any queries, or if you are able to volunteer to help on the stall for a couple of hours on the day, please ‘phone Pam Nolan on 772007. The St Marys’ Churches Stall. Can you pick a Royal? A card that is. Maybe, but if so, we need a prize from you. Tim Southern and I will be hoping to raise money for the two St Marys’ churches of Amport and Monxton at the fete but we do need bottles, lots of them. So please donate one or more bottles for players to win. A very few of the hard stuff would be extremely welcome as well as some wine, beer, soft drinks jars of olives, whatever you feel you might like to win or, if you prefer, a donation instead would be most acceptable. Bottles can be left at Lindisfarne Two on the borders of Amport and Monxton or, if you prefer, at the vicarage in Amport, or at Hutchen’s Cottage, Monxton at any time before the 19th July. Please support our churches and give generously. Oliver Sutton. 710999 |
