Four Parishes Arts Society - July 2003

Open Art 2003. The event was well supported with over 150 visitors, some of whom had come from other venues especially Lains Farm. About 60 people took advantage of refreshments and the bar.

A very varied range of exhibits was on display, all of which were of a very high standard which reflected the diversity and talent of the many exhibitors. Visitors from other villages were impressed by the quality of work of local people.

The outing to Wilton House on Tuesday 10 June was well attended. The guided tour of the house gave a detailed coverage of the many paintings, furniture and history.

The next meeting is on Tuesday 8 July at Quarley Village Hall and is a talk by Julia Budd on Decorative Stamping, a technique which can be used on all sorts of materials such as fabric, leather, wood etc.
