Four Parishes Arts Society - October 2003

The October meeting was an oil painting demonstration by Mark Flemons. It was interesting to see how he developed a country scene in autumn, making use of light and shade and explaining how he produced his effects. 

The next meeting is on Tuesday 11 November at Monxton Village Hall and will be a slide show by Catherine Barnes entitled "Landscape Artists". 

Our Christmas meeting will be early this year. We look forward to a visit from The Madding Crowd - a group formed in 1975 who perform all over southern England and on radio and television. They specialize in old village band and choir music and perform in period costume and on period instruments. This will be followed by seasonal refreshments. It promises to be a very special evening. We look forward to seeing all our members and their guests at this last meeting before Christmas.
