Four Parishes Arts Society - February 2006

On the 13 December members gathered for a basket meal and game of bowling at the Crook and Shears, Upper Clatford.

In January forty members met at Monxton and Amport Village Hall and were entertained by Vera Hughes and David Weller also known as Chester House Productions. Vera and David, in full Victorian costume, presented seasonal readings from Dickens including well-known stories and characters from Oliver Twist, Pickwick Papers, Nicholas Nickleby and Great Expectations.

Members were also reminded about the Members' Photographic Evening in April when they will get the opportunity to display their favourite photographs. Powerpoint facilities will be available if required. Although there is an interesting programme in place for this year incorporating members' ideas, the working group would welcome suggestions for future meetings.

The February meeting on the subject of Jewellery Design with Ruth Facey will take place on Tuesday 14 February at 8 pm at Grateley Village Hall. New members and guests are always welcome! - V J B
