3. Matters Arising from the last meeting
The placement of new salt bins is under investigation
by Hampshire Highways and Diana Preston asked that the bin at Fox be filled Clerk.
The Hawk Conservancy does not require planning consent for their new gates.
The application for Hook Lane to become a BOAT needs further clarification and Ian
Morrison will talk to Sue Ryan- Chairman of Monxton Parish Council on this
matter.
Simon Chesshire has said he is actively considering the replacement of styles on
footpaths on his land.
4. Reports
The Green
Ian Morrison will speak to Tony Darbyshire to arrange
for the rope swing to be re-erected just prior to the ROSPA inspection in May.
This will allow the swing to be included in the inspection before the village
uses it. A litter bin was considered for the play area but was rejected as it
could encourage people to leave litter behind.
The capital grant from TVBC still has £2,200 left and ideas were requested for
projects, which could be 50%, funded by the grant.
The May meeting of the Parish Council will look at the aesthetics and safety of
the existing senior swings.
Stroud’s field has recently been cut and further tree work is planned.
Village Design Statement
The consultation period will continue until the end of
May.
Footpaths and Highways
Maurice Hardy was absent and no discussion on footpaths took place.
New Matters
Romanies – The Chairman felt it probable that the
forthcoming planning application would result in 2 possible outcomes -
- The application would be refused and a subsequent appeal
would be allowed under the government’s special case scenario.
- The application would be allowed on a temporary basis until
TVBC opened a suitable site, this temporary permission would impose limits
on the numbers using the site.
