Four Parishes Arts Society - December 2004"Awestruck-
amazing" Our Chairman's reaction to Bob Bell's presentation of "Gujerati
Life" at our November meeting - it was a truly memorable evening! Saturday
4 December at 8.00 p.m. is our Christmas party in Grateley Village Hall.
Scottish music and dancing followed by mince pies and mulled wine - we hope many
of you will come and bring a guest. Andover
Time Ring Festival: Most
members will know that we have decided to join the Andover Time Ring Festival
project in celebration of the completion of the improvements to the High Street.
The climax of this is a procession around Andover on Friday 3 December, 6.30-
8.00 p.m. It is not too late for members and friends to come forward for joining
the procession, so please contact us if you would like to take part. It would be
good to see our villages well represented. David
Owen Norris: We are hugely
privileged to have the pianist and broadcaster, David Owen Norris, here for our
meeting at Monxton Village Hall on 11 January. He is a musician of great renown
and has given many recitals worldwide over the years, both as a soloist and as
an accompanist. He has recently been appointed Research Fellow at the University
of Southampton where he has been working on the theme he is going to bring to us
- the repertoire of the late 18th Century Square Piano. This should be an
unforgettable occasion. All music lovers in the four parishes are welcome to
come and join us for this special evening. |
