4. Reports
The Green and Amport Fen
Tanya Garman stated that she will try out the path on the Fen and report back on
its suitability for wheelchair access.
Concern was expressed about the soft coating on the path and after discussion it
was decided to delegate this issue to Ashley Smith as he has led the work on the
path so far. AS
A report should be available at the next meeting.
The Track
The condition of the track has worsened during the bad weather and Brian Nolan
(a resident of Woodside Cottages) has commissioned a specification for upgrading
the surface of the track from an Engineer. It is proposed that the specification
be checked with Mr Alborough at TVBC to confirm that this would be suitable. IM
to liaise with TVBC
When this is completed, details of the proposals will be sent to the
parties who use the track for comment as they will be asked to contribute to its
improvements. The expected cost at this time is approx £10,000 – half of
which should be paid by a grant from TVBC.
HCC Councillor Pat West recommended that the school and the Parish Council
undertake a joint bid for funds form HCC Councillor David Kirk, he has funds
allocated for ‘safer routes to school’ and it was felt that this project
could well qualify.

Footpath 23 at Middlecot, this has been ongoing for 15 years and despite homes
changing hands several times the path of the footpath is still not clear. Peter

Peter Watson also reported that the drainage issue at Georgia Farm is scheduled
to be relieved this year as funds are available for the groundwork needed.

Gore to organise.
It was also reported that there were several incomplete stiles on footpath which
runs diagonally across fields from Sarson Lane to the railway
bridge. Bill Gore to check
